How this site works

View, research and analyze edited movies and raw video clips from real life documentation and interviews conducted by acclaimed educational documentarian Jacky Comforty.

This is a new way to use video for educational and professional use, or for individual and group learning. It gives subscribing users access to edited movies, raw documentation, and interviews with important and exemplary content. Currently there are over 600 video clips and movies linked to the site.  We keep adding more content as we go through hundreds of hours of video collected over 25 years.

Different ways to navigate the site and its content:

All video clips and movies are organized by Categories, Keywords, Media Types and Case Studies for easy retrieval and use.

Videos are accessible via the top pull down menus, for easy overview. Full access and navigation of the content is available through the video post’s sidebar which has the following features:

  • Tabs with Synopsis, Full Transcriptions, and More – for easy reading and citation.
  • Note Taking and Saving Tool on each video, with a box to check once a task is completed.
  • User Playlist – add movies to your playlist for quick retrieval and playback.

Accessibility:

Closed Captions can be enabled and the caption’s language can be picked in the player by clicking on the CC icon. Some videos are already set with closed captioning.  We are in the process of transcribing and adding transcriptions, translations and closed captions to the videos.

We are at the Beta stage of  our site. It took many years to collect these materials, and five years to develop the site. It is a labor of love. It comes with the conviction that this is a valuable archive that will benefit the growth of students, educators, parents and all others involved with education.

Our site has subscription plans for School Districts, Universities, Libraries and other Institutions or User Groups.
